Urgent Appointment

Time is set aside for "same–day" appointments for urgent medical problems.

  • phone us on 0131 440 2043, Monday to Friday at 8.30am.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Routine Appointment

To request a routine GP appointment in the next 4-6 weeks:

  • Phone us Monday to Friday 9.30am to 6pm.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Most telephone consultations are 10 minutes and face-to-face appointments are 15 minutes. If you think your problem may take longer please ask the receptionist for a longer appointment. If you have several problems you may be best to arrange to return another time.

Home visits

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.

To request a home visit please phone before 10.30am if possible

Medical teaching

As an approved GP Training Practice we are involved in the training of experienced doctors (GP registrars) in their final year of training before entering their own practice. We are linked with Edinburgh University Department of General Practice and have taught medical students for many years.

We believe our commitment brings benefits to patients by maintaining high standards of care and by keeping all members of the Practice Team at the forefront of modern General Practice. We hope you will feel able to assist us in this important work. Video recording of consultations are taken at times by doctors for teaching purposes, but your permission will always be sought at the time. If you prefer not to have a student present at a consultation please inform the receptionist
